Young Political Impressions
I asked the kids separately, "What do these pictures mean?"
5 yr old daughter: A mailbox and a bank.
4 yr old son: A mailbox and SuperDad.
6 yr old son: The American Elephant, now extinct and some company that starts with D.[Pictures from the wiki pages for the US Republican & Democratic parties.]

ha ha ha, That is the democratic symbol!? What about the donkey? do you not have that in Canada?
In 1956, after carefully perusing political cartoons, I decided the Democratic donkey was meant to resemble Adlai Stevenson and the elephant Eisenhower.
Your kids are much more imaginative.
